How to Evaluate Findability?
In assessing Findability, FindWAtt focuses on 3 questions:
- When customers search, do they get the correct results?
- When they drill down through the category structure, are the expected products showing up?
- Are product descriptions sufficient to differentiate one product from another?
We evaluate Findability from 2 perspectives:
Findability from the Top-Down
This view is focused on usability. It looks at a website from the perspective of a visitor and encompasses search, navigation, presentation, etc.
Findability from the Bottom-Up
This view is focused on data. It looks at the structure and quality of the underlying product data used on the site.
